2001 Gorham Chantilly Silver Star Christmas Tree Top Topper Ornament Decoration
2001 Gorham Chantilly Silver Plated Star Christmas Tree Topper. This was, I believe, styled after their ever popular sterling pattern, Chantilly. The silversmiths at Gorham designed this Tree Topper in gleaming silver plate as a star, almost identical to the 2001 sterling star ornament. This is a large 12 X 7 inches including the spiral to fit on the tree top. This is complete with the original Gorham box and is in lightly used condition.
Box IS damaged and has tape on a seam. As with all vintage silver, may require proper polishing upon receipt depending on your preferences. Gorham is noted in the silver industry for producing unexcelled holloware and flatware. Designer Richard Maiella led the sterling Christmas ornament trend in 1970 with his First Edition Snowflake in 1970.
