Antique German Dresden Large Gold Silver Bug Beetle Christmas Ornament

This ANTIQUE, GERMAN, pressed paper, DRESDEN CHRISTMAS , BUG FLY BEETLE ORNAMENT measures approximately 4 long x 1 3/4 wide. I t is another r are Dresden Christmas ornament from my collection. It is finely detailed SILVER AND GOLD PAPER with black painted details.

I t has remnants of red cellophane paper on the back of its head to the top of its wings. It is in USED condition , having wear and discoloration.

S ome parts of the legs are missing. There is silver wear on the wing. There are traces of old Christmas candle wax on its gold underside...

It has folds on the tip ends of its wings. IT IS LARGE AND WONDERFUL.
