French Sterling Silver Mistletoe Chatelaine Rattle Pendant Christmas Ornament

I absolutely love the art nouveau design of this little antique French silver chatelaine piece. It is a rattle and I assume was tied to a ribbon for a baby's use, but would be beautiful on a chain as a pendant or perhaps as an ornament. It has two loops, one smaller one and then a larger / thicker one. This is a French piece dating to the turn of the century / Art Nouveau era. Note - The piece does not come with a chain but I used one of my mine to show you how it would look.

The piece measures 1 3/4 inches in height to the top of the loop and a little over 1 1/4 inches wide. The piece has a punch on the larger loop indicating French solid silver. Please note that all my pieces are in estate condition. The opening / bottom seam of the rattle is bent, like the noisemaker fell out and a new one put in or something, unless it is just crinkled from being pressed on. It does still rattle, but it is kind of a tinny rattle sound.

I see a pin ding to the side with the smaller loop and the rim has that slightly rippled appearance from being pressed together. The larger loop is a bit misshapen and there are two areas with specks of extra silver, one on the bottom of the large loop and one on one of the leaves. Other than that some surface wear throughout from use and polish over the years and a few areas of stubborn tarnish.
