Lot of 11 1970s Towle Sterling Silver Christmas Medallions Ornaments

Highly sought after Towle Twelve Days of Christmas Sterling Silver medallions or ornaments, that were designed to also be worn as pendants. This series was based on the Twelve Days of Christmas carol. The first of the limited edition premiered in 1971 and is the only piece missing in the set. The series spanned 12 years, ending in 1982. The 11 items in this lot are as follows.

1976 Six Geese A Laying / The Liberty Bell. 1977 Seven Swans A Swimming / Portals Over Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. 1978 Eight Maids a Milking / Early Colonial Silver Pattern.

1979 Nine Ladies Dancing / Concave Panels Reflecting The Magic of Sterling In All Directions. 1980 Ten Lords a Leaping / Stylized Grapes & Leaves.

1981 Eleven Pipers Piping / 17th Century English Chapel Woodwork. 1982 Twelve Drummers Drumming / Victorian Mirror Precision. All 11 pieces are in excellent vintage condition with the age-related patina one would expect from a sterling silver collection of this age.
