1970 GORHAM STERLING CHRISTMAS SNOWFLAKE PENDANT ORNAMENT NIB. Hard to find 1970 Gorham sterling snowflake pendant, medallion, ornament, 1st in the ever popular series of annual snowflake ornaments, measures 3 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches tall, and is properly hallmarked on the reverse with the words Gorham; Sterling; Christmas, 1970.

The back has use scratches, but there are no dents, bangs, bruises or other visible defects. It has the original Gorham pouch and box, but no romance card. Although designed as an ornament for a Xmas tree, many collectors like to use this as a pendant.

Gorham is noted in the silver industry for producing unexcelled holloware and flatware. Designer Richard Maiella led the sterling Christmas ornament trend in 1970 with his First Edition Snowflake in 1970.
