All ornaments, except those from the year 2000, are 24K gold-plated with engraved frames. The 2000-dated ornament is made of trade silver. 1996 - The first in a series of annual ornaments from the U. Mint features the classic reverse, the presidential coat of arms, of the Kennedy half-dollar coin.

1997 - The second holiday ornament features the reverse of the Washington quarter-dollar coin. The eagle design graces the reverse of the coin with wings spread. 1998 - The third holiday ornament from the U. Mint displays the obverse of the distinguished Roosevelt dime. The portrait of President Roosevelt on the circulating dime first appeared in 1946 to honor the late President.

1999 - The fourth ornament in this series features the obverse of the Jefferson nickel, the portrait of Thomas Jefferson. The nickel coin is mounted in a depiction of Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson. 2000 - The fifth holiday ornament features the soaring eagle reverse of the Golden Dollar introduced in 2000. The ornament design is based on Native American motifs.

2001 - The sixth and final ornament features the Lincoln cent in a two dimensional image of the Lincoln Memorial located in our nation's Capital. Comes from a smoke free home.
